Material List

We use a heat-activated adhesive foam core backing, called MountCor, to mount each photo before reverse-beveling the pieces. This is a permanent adhesive process. There is a buffer layer under the adhesive and before the foam that is acid-free. The foam core itself is not.

We mount on a sheet of acid-free mat board, which is itself mounted on foam core. As with the MountCor, the foam core has an acid-free buffer layer between the mat and the foam. We use this same combination of foam backing and acid-free mat to create the deep spacers that separate the glass from the art so as to prevent any damage to the photographs.

As for glass, use Art Glass AR 92. It is a premium anti-reflective glass with 92% UV protection. It is scratch-resistant.

The wood in the Studio Moulding frame is a composite of mainly pine. The photo paper is archival quality.
